We Do Not Offer Testing Only Services

As the leading functional medicine clinic in the UK, we support our clients in optimising their health and tackling illnesses. To do this we offer tests that help us identify the root cause of their health concerns. With that in mind, our testing services are only for patients under consultation with our expert practitioners.

Eating to nourish your body can help with your goal of reaching your optimal weight. With so many different weight loss plans and ‘diets’ available online and in the media it’s not surprising that people can be left feeling confused and bewildered. The truth is that there is no ‘one size fits all’ answer to losing weight and keeping it off. We work closely with clients to identify the reasons for their weight gain and find solutions that work for them. We guide you to compassionately tune into your body’s needs rather than rejecting them. We want you to feel good from the inside out! No matter where you are on your journey, you can transform your mind and body for long-lasting health through proper, tailored nutrition.

How do we help clients with weight management?

Our experienced Nutritionists and Functional Medicine Practitioners consider your biochemistry and lifestyle to create an effective and healthy nutrition and lifestyle plan.

At the London Clinic of Nutrition, we know that the eat-less-food-and-exercise-more approach doesn’t work for everyone. This is because there are so many factors beyond food and exercise that influence weight management, such as:

  • Hormonal fluctuations. These can make it more difficult to lose weight, particularly around menopause.
  • Poor sleep. Lack of sleep causes further changes to hormones that drive appetite.
  • Stress. High levels of the stress hormone, cortisol, can lead to weight-loss resistance.
  • Chronic inflammation. Low-grade inflammation—particularly from poor gut health—is also linked to weight gain.
  • Toxicity. Toxins are stored in fat cells, so a high degree of toxicity can make your body reluctant to release excess weight.

As you can see, counting calories in food or clocking up minutes on the treadmill do nothing to address these underlying health issues.

This is where we can help. Through a thorough client lifestyle assessment and appropriate testing, we can help you identify the root cause(s) of any weight issues, creating a plan to optimise your health.

” Oliver has helped me become more aware of how individual we all are and that everything has an affect on our bodies whether internal or external. This has led me to a happier place with my health and had a knock on effect in all other aspects of my life.
Since beginning my treatments which was a mixture of supplements, herbs and dietary information my body weight has adjusted to a natural constant state, my energy increased and stress levels gone down. My dysmenorrhea condition has greatly improved from out of control to confidently managed.

I can’t thank Oliver enough for helping me see the wood through the trees. ”
