IV Drip Therapy
IV Drip therapy at the London clinic of nutrition: What To Expect
As part of our integrative services, we offer a range of conventional and bespoke IV therapies to revitalise our clients’ health and help improve wellbeing.
The idea of using intravenous vitamins and minerals was developed by John Myer, a pioneer physician from Baltimore. The classic Myers cocktail which combines magnesium, calcium, Vitamin C and various B vitamins, is one of the most popular IV therapies and is how we came to develop our bespoke formula’s such as our Immune Booster and more.

What types of intravenous infusions are available?
Based on the research done by the renowned John Myers and many more people since then, we offer a wide range of nutritional IVs at the London Clinic of Nutrition to enhance patients’ health and reduce symptoms from illness.
Among the many infusions we offer is our developed formulas based on the classic Myers cocktail which has been used to treat patients for over 30 years. Similar to the original Myers but with increased nutrient levels we have our bespoke immune boosting and sports performance formulas which are very popular. Our Vitamin C and glutathione IVs are extremely effective at improving detoxification, particularly when there is heavy metal toxicity, oxidative stress and reducing pathogen loads.

What is intravenous nutrient therapy?
How does intravenous nutrient therapy work?
The rationale for IV administration of nutrients is that it can achieve serum concentrations that are not obtainable with oral or intramuscular administration. This is because of the more rapid entry of the nutrients to the bloodstream.
What to expect when having my IV drip?
You will be shown to our IV lounge where you can relax on one of our recliners with complimentary refreshments and a selection of books and magazines to enjoy whilst one of our experienced practitioners administers a natural mix of nutrients directly to your bloodstream for around 45 minutes.
How long does an IV therapy drip take?
The therapy lasts for around 45 minutes and you’ll feel an immediate boost. Typically, the effects become fully noticeable after 12 – 24 hours and they last for anything between 8 days to 3 weeks depending on your health and the IV nutrient mixture.
How often should you get an IV drip?
The frequency will depend on your overall health, the condition we are treating you for and your practitioner’s carefully managed protocol.
How much does an intravenous infusion (IV drip) cost?
Vitamin infusions may contain single vitamins such as Vitamin C or Vitamin B12 or a cocktail of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids. Our Vitamin C Iv therapy is one of the most popular and most effective single infusions.
